1) Download the app
To become a member of Pi Network, you will have to install the 'Pi Network'-application on your smartphone. You need a smartphone running on iOS or Android and slightly less than 50MB of available space. That shouldn't be a problem. The easiest and safest way to download Pi Network is directly from your app store. Have a look for 'Pi Network' in the search bar from your store or click on one of the following links which will direct you immediately to your store. Make sure to pick the right link depending on your operation system.
- Pi Network for iOS: apps.apple.com/us/app/pi-network/id1445472541
- Pi Network for Android: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.blockchainvault
- Download the latest version here: d1bdkd0g1kai9c.cloudfront.net/apk/last.apk
2) Create an account
Once you have installed the app, you can continue by making an account. To create an account there are two main verification options. The first one is to verify yourself with Facebook and the second one is to verify yourself via your Phone number. It is very important to use a Facebook-account or Phone number that belongs to you. The reason for this is that you can only log in using your Facebook account or Phone number. If you pick a random number or account, your Pi will be lost forever.
Once you have verified yourself according to one of the two available methods, you have to choose password. Make sure to use a password that you can remember! If you want to be sure you won't forget your password, write it down.
Next, you will have to fill in your real name. It is very important to use your REAL name and not a random one. The reason why is simple. In a later phase you will have to verify the account belongs to a real person - and that the person is you. Once you have put your name in the correct boxes, you can choose a username. Choose it wisely. You can only refer other people to the app by using your username. Your username is your invitation code.
In the last step you have to fill in the username of your referrer - this is the invitation code they provided to you. Once finished, you are ready to start mining Pi! If you haven't received an invitation code, feel free to use mine "PiShare". Have fun!

3) Come back every day to continue mining
To keep mining Pi, it is required to open the app once every 24 hours. Once a mining cycle has been completed, you will have to click a button to confirm you want to keep mining. Try remembering to do this each day!
